"Handmade By Me" is a small family business in Hertfordshire England
I (Me in the picture at bench) have over 30 years experience in one off jewellery design.
Now in semi-retirement working from a secluded tiny workshop, I am making simpler jewellery mainly in silver or 9ct gold, suitable for selling direct via the internet, most of which is hard to find in traditional high street jewellers.
I also make my own unique master patterns for general manufacturing which I send to Birmingham for casting to a very high standard, generally heavier than traditional mass production goods. leaving me the final assembly and finishing work

Stock Items
Generally products which I have in stock, earrings, bracelets, plain signet rings, bangles, etc are posted on the Thursday of the week they are ordered
Made To Order Items
Made to order items NOT requiring hallmarking will normally be posted the following week after they are ordered (again on Thursday)
Hallmarking
Items which are made to order, specifically name pendants, and silver initial rings, for UK orders should be sent to London assay office for hallmarking , this service carries an additional charge, but more importantly, can take up to 6 weeks, from order date.
Sterling silver items over 7.68 grams in weight and gold items over 1 gram, all should be hallmarked according to UK law.
However as the majority of clients tend to leave orders till the last minute (average request time is 21 days) If your order requires hallmarking please telephone me on 0208 0909340 to confirm BEFORE ordering.
My Guarantee & Distance selling rules
Most clients are aware that distance selling rules (DSR) do not apply in the case of bespoke, made to order items, including things like rings which have been sized or engraved.
I take great pride in my work and seldom in my 30 years has anyone wished to return one of my hand made pieces, however though DSR does not usually apply I will always prefer to hear from any customer who is dissatisfied with their purchase, generally I will replace with something of similar value, though in the case of name pendants and initial rings (jfk) or (rhiannah) I probably will never be asked for again.(please keep this in mind when ordering)
All stock items DSR is applied, please return by the same postage method as received and a refund will be issued in full. (goods must be returned within 7 days)
